Dali Blood Donation Event to Honor Mr. Lin Yi-tien on September 27
The 2026 Mr. Lin Yi-tien Memorial Blood Donation Event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27, at the Dali Blood Donation Room of the Taichung Blood Donation Center.
Organized by the Lin sisters in memory of their father, the event coincides with his birthday. The sisters decided to hold this annual charity drive after a blood transfusion helped extend their father's life during a critical illness. The first event held in November last year saw 144 participants and a total of 230 bags of blood donated.
Donors participating in the event, which runs from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, will be eligible for various gifts including PX Mart vouchers, rice, peach and lychee sparkling drink gift sets, and osmanthus oolong tea, provided supplies last.
To participate, individuals must be between 17 and 65 years old, weigh at least 45 kilograms, and be in good health. Donors are advised to bring identification and ensure they have had at least six hours of sleep and avoided alcohol the previous night.
