Dalin Interchange truck accident leaves driver injured

A heavy truck carrying wooden boards lost control while exiting the Dalin Interchange, crashing into a safety island and overturning. The impact was severe enough to throw the driver, identified by the surname Lin, through the windshield. He was rushed to Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital for emergency treatment following chest injuries.

The accident caused wooden boards to scatter across the roadway, obstructing traffic. Authorities managed the scene and cleared the debris by approximately 6:00 PM, with traffic on County Road 162 being temporarily restricted. Police are investigating whether the crash was caused by mechanical failure or driver error.
