Dallas Cowboys announce roster changes and coaching addition

The Dallas Cowboys are implementing several roster adjustments as they prepare for Week 6. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer indicated that the team will make both “notable” and “subtle” changes to the roster.

In recent moves, the Cowboys waived veteran offensive lineman Nick Leverett from the 53-man roster, though he is being re-signed to the practice squad. To fill the vacancy, the team is signing running back Emari Demarcado to the active roster, reuniting him with the organization after his previous stint with the team.

Additionally, the Cowboys have brought in veteran coach and coordinator Mike Pettine to serve as a defensive advisor. Pettine is intended to assist first-time defensive coordinator Christian Parker in his new role.
