Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator and linebacker updates ahead of Week 6

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Christian Parker indicated he will “most likely” call plays from the sideline during the upcoming Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers. This follows conflicting reports regarding his role, as owner Jerry Jones previously suggested Parker would move to the coaching booth, while head coach Brian Schottenheimer stated a decision had not yet been finalized.

In player news, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown may return for the Sunday night matchup against the Packers. Overshown has missed four games due to a hamstring injury sustained during a loss to the New York Giants. While head coach Schottenheimer noted the team will not rush his return, he confirmed Overshown is working toward being ready to play.
