Dallas Cowboys face Philadelphia Eagles amid trade speculation

The Dallas Cowboys enter a Monday Night Football matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles with both teams holding 2-4 records. Ahead of the game, Cowboys legend Michael Irvin engaged with Eagles fans, highlighting the franchise's historical Super Bowl success compared to Philadelphia's more recent championship history.

Off the field, speculation regarding the Cowboys' defensive improvements continues. NFL insider Adam Schefter noted that while a trade for Arizona Cardinals linebacker Josh Sweat could make sense for Dallas, the team must secure more wins before the trade deadline to justify such a move. The Cowboys' front office remains open to market activity following their earlier acquisition of cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
