Dallas Cowboys remain most valuable NFL franchise for 20th year
The Dallas Cowboys have been named the most valuable NFL franchise for the 20th consecutive year. According to reports from Forbes and CNBC, the team is valued between $16 billion and $17 billion, having generated approximately $1.28 billion to $1.29 billion in revenue last season.
Valuations across the league have seen significant growth. Forbes reports the average team value is $9.5 billion, a 34 percent increase from the previous year, while CNBC estimates the average franchise value at $10.36 billion, a 35 percent increase. Every team in the league is now valued at a minimum of $8 billion.
Other high-value franchises include the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, New England Patriots, and San Francisco 49ers. Analysts attribute the rising valuations to league-wide media rights deals, new stadium projects, and the relaxation of ownership rules that allowed private-equity purchases of minority stakes.
