Dallas Cowboys sign Juanyeh Thomas amid secondary injuries
The Dallas Cowboys have signed safety Juanyeh Thomas to address significant depth issues in their secondary. The move follows a series of injuries to key defensive backs, including Malik Hooker, P. J. Locke, and Jalen Thompson.
Thomas, who previously played for the Cowboys and spent time on their practice squad, returns to the team after a stint with the Indianapolis Colts. He has experience playing significant defensive and special teams snaps, though he was previously placed on the reserve/non-football illness list due to chronic migraines.
In addition to the injury crisis, the Cowboys are reportedly exploring roster upgrades. While the team has made inquiries regarding Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr., analysts suggest his man-coverage specialty may not align perfectly with the team's current zone-heavy defensive system.
