Dallas Cowboys sign Tyler Goodson following Malik Davis injury
The Dallas Cowboys have signed running back Tyler Goodson off the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad to bolster their roster following a season-ending hip injury to Malik Davis. Davis's injury, which requires surgery, occurred during a final practice session.
Goodson, a former Iowa standout, brings experience from stints with the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and the Falcons. At 5-foot-9 and approximately 200 pounds, he is noted for his speed, having recorded a 4.42-second 40-yard dash. He is expected to contribute not only to the rushing attack but also to special teams, a role previously filled by Davis.
The Cowboys' current running back roster now includes Javonte Williams, Emari Demercado, Israel Abanikanda, and Goodson.
