Dallas Cowboys sign Von Miller to bolster defensive line
The Dallas Cowboys have signed 37-year-old veteran pass rusher Von Miller to bolster their defensive line. The move is a tactical effort to increase pass pressure following the trade of Micah Parsons. Miller, who previously played for the Washington Commanders, recorded ten sacks and a 12.4% pressure rate during the 2025 season, statistics that the team aims to utilize to strengthen their third-down defense.
Beyond tactical adjustments, Miller has humorously attempted to negotiate for his preferred jersey number, No. 40, which is currently held by Cowboys fullback Hunter Luepke. Miller has jokingly offered Luepke a lifetime supply of chicken in exchange for the number. This offer stems from Miller’s personal involvement in the poultry industry as a co-founder of Greener Pastures Chicken, an organic poultry operation in Central Texas.
