Dallas Cowboys weigh wide‑receiver options as CeeDee Lamb shines and Brandon Aiyuk sparks trade talk

The Dallas Cowboys continue to build around star receiver CeeDee Lamb, who posted 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns in the 2023 season. Lamb’s versatility—playing slot, outside and across formations—forces defenses to adjust coverage and opens opportunities for teammates.

Separately, speculation has emerged that the Cowboys could acquire former San Francisco 49ers wideout Brandon Aiyuk. A Polymarket prediction market gives a 21 % chance of an Aiyuk trade or signing. Aiyuk previously faced a contract dispute with the 49ers, had his 2026 guarantees voided, and was placed on the reserve/left squad list after off‑field controversies. Cowboys officials are weighing the potential on‑field benefits against the financial cost and possible media backlash.

If Aiyuk joins, he would complement Lamb and fellow receiver George Pickens, adding a third high‑level receiving threat for quarterback Dak Prescott. The team currently also has other receivers such as KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy.
