Germany: New vocational center starts in Königs Wusterhausen

Construction has begun on the Leistungszentrum Nord (LZ Nord) in Königs Wusterhausen, Germany. The project involves the development of a two-story vocational training center spanning 7,000 square meters of usable space on a 13,000-square-meter site. The facility is designed to provide modern training and practical career orientation for trades, including workshops and seminar rooms for roles such as automotive mechatronics, electronics, and metal construction. The project is supported by approximately 50 million EUR in funding from the EU and the state, covering 90 percent of eligible costs.

In a separate regional development, WesterwaldMedien has undergone a corporate restructuring. The previous MVV Medienverlag Westerwald-Sieg UG & Co. KG has been renamed WesterwaldMedien Kuriere GmbH & Co. KG. This change aims to unify various regional offerings, including the AK-Kurier, NR-Kurier, and WW-Kurier, under a single brand to better serve the Altenkirchen, Neuwied, and Westerwaldkreis regions.
