The Dallas Mavericks announced that forward Naji Marshall has signed a fully guaranteed three‑year contract extension worth $52.2 million, keeping him through the 2029‑30 season. The deal, reported by ESPN, roughly doubles his annual salary after a breakout 2025‑26 campaign in which he posted career‑high averages of 15.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 51% from the floor.

Mavericks president Masai Ujiri said Marshall “has earned this opportunity through the way he approaches the game every day” and highlighted his versatility and competitiveness as key to the team’s future plans. The extension also comes after the Los Angeles Lakers expressed interest in the wing during the February trade deadline, but Dallas retained him, signaling a commitment to building around core players such as Cooper Flagg. The contract runs at $18.2 million in 2027‑28, decreasing to $17.3 million and $16.7 million in the final two years.
