Dallas Stars recall defenseman Trey Taylor

The Dallas Stars have recalled defenseman Trey Taylor from their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. The move follows the reassignment of forward Dylan Hryckowian to the AHL, bringing the Stars back to a full 23-man active roster.

Taylor, 24, is positioned to potentially make his NHL debut during the team’s upcoming game against the Montreal Canadiens. His recall comes as veteran defenseman Kyle Capobianco is expected to miss at least one week due to a lower-body injury sustained during a recent game against the New Jersey Devils.

An undrafted free agent from Clarkson University, Taylor has been a notable performer at the AHL level. After signing an entry-level contract following a successful collegiate career, he recorded 26 points in 70 games during his rookie AHL season.
