Golden State Valkyries clinch WNBA playoff berth after beating Dallas Wings

The Golden State Valkyries have officially clinched a WNBA playoff berth following a 78-70 victory over the Dallas Wings at the Chase Center. Led by Gabby Williams, who recorded 23 points and seven rebounds, the Valkyries secured their sixth consecutive win, bringing their season record to 25-9.

This achievement marks the second consecutive year the expansion franchise has reached the postseason, following their inaugural playoff appearance in 2025. The Valkyries' victory was bolstered by strong performances from Veronica Burton, who added 16 points, and bench contributions from Tiffany Hayes and Janelle Salaun.

The Dallas Wings, currently fighting for the final playoff spot, fell to a 20-16 record. Despite a 21-point effort from Paige Bueckers and 17 points from Arike Ogunbowale, the Wings struggled to overcome Golden State's momentum. Dallas continues to face challenges due to injuries to key players, including Azzi Fudd and Jessica Shepard.
