Dallas Wings Relocate Home Games to American Airlines Center

The WNBA franchise Dallas Wings announced a permanent move to downtown Dallas, where they will play all home games at the American Airlines Center beginning with the 2027 season. The relocation follows an 11‑year tenure at College Park Center on the University of Texas‑Arlington campus and a temporary stint at the arena in 2025. The team signed a 15‑year use agreement with the city of Dallas for the venue, while construction delays at the planned Dallas Memorial Auditorium have made the American Airlines Center a temporary solution. CEO and managing partner Greg Bibb called the move a “pivotal step” in the team’s growth, and the organization also plans a new $55 million training facility in a Dallas neighborhood. The shift aligns the Wings with the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, who share the arena, and is expected to boost fan access and visibility for women’s basketball in the region.
