Dallas Wings sign former Upshot League MVP Deja Kelly

The Dallas Wings have signed guard Deja Kelly to a developmental player contract. Kelly, a former North Carolina standout and the 2026 Upshot League MVP, will wear number 2 for the team.

Kelly most recently led the Charlotte Crown to the inaugural Upshot League title, earning the Ann Meyers Drysdale MVP award after recording 29 points and six rebounds in the championship game. During the 2026 season, she averaged 18.1 points and 4.0 assists per game.

A native of Duncanville, Texas, Kelly played four seasons at North Carolina, where she ranks eighth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,858 points. She also played as a graduate student at Oregon during the 2024-25 season. This move follows a 2025 preseason stint with the Las Vegas Aces, where she was waived prior to the start of the season.
