Dalton Knecht faces uncertain future with Los Angeles Lakers

Dalton Knecht faces an uncertain future with the Los Angeles Lakers as the team approaches the October 19 deadline to finalize its 15-man roster. Currently, the Lakers have 16 players on guaranteed contracts, necessitating at least one trade or waiver to meet roster limits.

Knecht, a former first-round pick, is considered a primary candidate to be either traded or waived. His situation has become a point of discussion following a failed trade attempt that would have sent him to Charlotte.

Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green has criticized Knecht’s representation, suggesting that his agents failed to secure a move following the collapsed deal. Green stated, “I blame his agent because, as soon as that trade failed, he should have activated his contacts to get him out of Los Angeles,” adding that the situation has negatively impacted the player.
