Dalvin La Melodía rises to bachata stardom in Puerto Rico
Dominican bachata singer Dalvin La Melodía, born Dalvin Antonio Núñez Vargas in 2003, has achieved significant popularity in Puerto Rico. The artist has transitioned from digital streaming success to selling out major venues, including the Coca-Cola Music Hall and the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
His rise to prominence is supported by several hit songs, including ‘Mi Reina’, ‘Tesoro Perdido’, ‘Duele’, and an adaptation of Marco Antonio Solís’s ‘Chiquilla Bonita’. His career has also seen successful collaborations, such as ‘Alma Rota’ with El Blachy and ‘Menor’ with Romeo Santos and Prince Royce. Recently, he has collaborated with Puerto Rican star Luis Fonsi on a bachata remix of ‘Me Despido’.
Before his music career accelerated in 2024 through his work with producer Michael ‘Mikey Touch’ Quevedo, Núñez worked various jobs, including grocery delivery and driving a motoconcho. His musical foundation was built through singing in church alongside his father.
