Damart expands into French mass retail market

The French clothing brand Damart is expanding its distribution strategy by entering the mass retail market. Starting Monday, the company's products will be available in more than 1,100 hypermarkets and supermarkets, including Carrefour, Coopérative U, E.Leclerc, and La Halle stores.

This strategic move aims to find new growth opportunities and attract a broader customer base. The product range featured in these locations will focus on the brand's signature Thermolactyl fiber, specifically t-shirts and leggings for both men and women. These items will be displayed either on dedicated stands or alongside other brands.

Based in Roubaix, Damart currently employs 2,000 people worldwide and reported a 4% increase in boutique sales between July 2025 and July 2026. While the company maintains a strong presence through its own stores and catalogs, this shift toward large-scale retail represents a significant diversification of its sales channels. Additionally, the company announced plans to open its first retail store in the United Kingdom within the coming months.
