Damascus International Fair attracts 60 countries for investment and culture

The 63rd edition of the Damascus International Fair is serving as a significant platform for both cultural exhibition and economic investment. Approximately 1,000 entities and companies from 60 countries are participating, signaling growing international interest in the Syrian market and opportunities related to economic recovery and reconstruction.

Economic experts note that the return of international participants, including European and German companies, suggests a restoration of confidence in the Syrian business sector. The fair has transitioned from a simple product showcase to an investment gateway, focusing on sectors such as industry, energy, infrastructure, and construction.

Alongside these economic developments, the Syrian Ministry of Culture is utilizing the fair to showcase the nation's rich heritage. Their pavilion features documentation of historical sites like Palmyra, Aleppo Citadel, and Ugarit, as well as contemporary folk arts and traditional handicrafts, including mosaic, stained glass, and copper work.
