Damascus International Fair concludes with major industrial agreements
The 63rd edition of the Damascus International Fair concluded after ten days of economic, cultural, and social activities. Held under the theme ‘Syria is Shining Anew,’ the event featured approximately 1,000 local, Arab, and international participants representing about 60 countries.
The fair served as a platform for significant economic agreements and partnerships. Key outcomes included plans to expand the Bab al-Hawa Industrial City, establish a marble and natural stone industrial city in Homs, and create a craft industrial zone in Raqqa. Additionally, agreements were signed to develop the Sheikh Najjar industrial city in Aleppo and to reconstruct tourism and sports infrastructure in Raqqa.
On the diplomatic and agricultural front, memorandums of understanding were established between the Syrian Ministry of Agriculture and the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture to bolster agricultural investments. The event also saw the announcement of the Damascus World Economic Forum, intended to facilitate direct dialogue between the government, the private sector, and international investors.
