Dame Noeline Taurua reappointed Silver Ferns coach through 2027

Netball New Zealand has reappointed Dame Noeline Taurua as the head coach of the Silver Ferns. Her contract extension ensures she will remain in the role through the conclusion of the 2027 Netball World Cup.

The decision follows a successful period for the team, highlighted by a gold medal win at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. During that tournament, the Silver Ferns remained undefeated, ultimately defeating Jamaica 56-48 in the final.

Taurua will oversee the high-performance programme, with the immediate focus being the upcoming Constellation Cup. Netball New Zealand Chief Executive Jennah Wootten expressed confidence in Taurua’s leadership and vision to re-establish the team as the world's number one ranked side.
