Damian Priest responds to R-Truth regarding SmackDown injury incident

WWE Superstar Damian Priest has addressed recent comments made by R-Truth following a match on the October 16, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown. The contest ended abruptly after R-Truth landed awkwardly while attempting a missile dropkick, prompting the referee to stop the match due to safety concerns.

Following the incident, R-Truth posted on social media to reassure fans of his well-being, while jokingly accusing Priest of attempting to end his life. Priest responded during an appearance on WWE Radio’s ‘Off The Ropes,’ rejecting the blame and suggesting that R-Truth put himself in danger while attempting to secure a victory. Priest remarked, “He tried to end his own just trying to win a match against me.”

While R-Truth shared an image of himself undergoing an MRI to update followers, no specific medical details regarding the nature of the injury have been officially confirmed by WWE.
