Damian van Ginkel returns to football after two-year injury layoff

Damian van Ginkel has returned to competitive football with Achterveld after a two-year absence due to severe injuries. The 22-year-old underwent multiple procedures, including surgery on his cruciate ligament, meniscus, and cartilage, as well as a bone alignment correction.

During his recovery, van Ginkel assisted in training the club’s second women's team. He is now working toward regaining full fitness with the goal of playing weekly and helping the team return to the third class.
