Damien Cook remains committed to Castleford move despite coach exit
Damien Cook has reaffirmed his commitment to join Castleford in the Super League next season, despite the sudden departure of coach Ryan Carr. Carr, who previously served as an interim and assistant coach at the St George Illawarra Dragons, recently exited the Tigers due to “personal reasons” following a club investigation.
Cook is one of three players from the Dragons signed to play under Carr at Castleford. While other players, including winger Tyrell Sloan and Mat Feagai, expressed uncertainty or concerns regarding the coaching change, Cook stated that his decision remains firm after discussing the move with his family.
The 35-year-old hooker is set to conclude his 14-year NRL career within the next fortnight.
