Damián Alcázar invites public to free screening of ‘La ley de Herodes’

Actor Damián Alcázar has invited the public to a free screening of the 1999 film ‘La ley de Herodes’ at the Cineteca Nacional Chapultepec. Directed by Luis Estrada, the film is noted for its portrayal of political corruption in Mexico.

The event is scheduled for August 19 at 5:00 PM in Sala 5 of the Santa Fe location. Admission is free via complimentary tickets available at the box office, and the screening will be followed by an open discussion regarding the film’s significance to national cinema.

This screening is part of the ‘Voces y Miradas del Cine Mexicano’ cycle, organized by the Mexican government’s Secretariat of Culture through the Cineteca Nacional. The program aims to connect the public with representative films from various eras of Mexican cinematography and includes nine sessions running through September 2026.
