Damián Betular to temporarily leave MasterChef Celebrity

Chef Damián Betular will take a temporary leave of absence from his role as a judge on MasterChef Celebrity. The departure is due to his commitment to the summer theatrical season in Mar del Plata, where he will perform in the musical ‘Hairspray’ as the character Edna Turnblad.

Betular is expected to be away during January and is scheduled to return to the competition in February. In response to his absence, production is evaluating potential replacements to join judges Maru Botana and Germán Martitegui.

Donato de Santis and Dolli Irigoyen have emerged as the leading candidates to fill the vacancy. Other names being considered include Santiago Giorgini, Christophe Krywonis, Jimena Monteverde, Rodrigo Cascón, Osvaldo Gross, Coco Carreño, Elba Rodríguez, and Ariel Rodríguez Palacios.
