Damm receives Eduardo Barrachina Golden Award for UK market contribution

The Spanish brewing group Damm has been awarded the 2026 Eduardo Barrachina Golden Award by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom. Demetrio Carceller Arce, Executive Chairman of Damm, accepted the award during a ceremony at the Spanish Ambassador's residence in London.

The recognition highlights Damm's significant contribution to the British market. A key component of the company's UK strategy was the £70 million investment to modernize the Eagle Brewery in Bedford, which was acquired in 2022. This investment has increased production capacity and led to a 300% increase in new jobs at the plant since 2022, while also improving production efficiency and reducing transport-related emissions.

Damm has also expanded its British presence through the acquisition of the historic brand Old Speckled Hen. Carceller Arce noted that as the company becomes more global, it carries a responsibility to protect the unique traditions of the local markets in which it operates.
