Damyang County expands garden education and professional training
Damyang County has announced plans to expand its garden education programs in alignment with the 2026 Education Development Special Zone initiative. The program aims to provide specialized training for residents and students to foster local expertise.
In collaboration with the National Garden Culture Center, the county is implementing several tracks, including a garden expert training course for residents covering soil management, permaculture, and garden design. Additionally, a garden commentator training course will launch in November to prepare professional guides for the 2027 Namdo Garden Biennale.
For younger demographics, Damyang is coordinating with local education offices to develop customized programs for kindergarten and elementary students. These initiatives focus on ecological transition education, allowing students to experience the cycles of natural ecosystems through gardening.
