Dan Bentley joins Coventry City from Wolverhampton Wanderers

Coventry City has completed the signing of goalkeeper Dan Bentley from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a free transfer. The 33-year-old has signed a two-year deal to join Frank Lampard’s squad as the club prepares for its return to the Premier League.

Bentley, who had one year remaining on his contract with Wolves, brings top-flight experience to Coventry. During his time at Molineux, he made 17 first-team appearances.

In related transfer activity, Wolverhampton Wanderers is reportedly interested in a loan deal for Coventry striker Ellis Simms. Wolves are looking to bolster their attacking options following the loan of Tolu Arokodare to Ajax and are monitoring Simms, who scored 13 Championship goals last season to help Coventry secure promotion.
