Dan Houser to develop new games via Absurd Ventures

Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games and a key creator of the Grand Theft Auto series, is preparing to unveil two new video game projects through his studio, Absurd Ventures.

Founded in 2021 following Houser's departure from Rockstar Games, the studio aims to build a “multimedia empire.” Rather than focusing solely on traditional gaming, the company intends to develop stories and universes designed for transmedia expansion across various formats.

The upcoming projects include an open-world comedy and a science-fiction dystopia. Details regarding these titles have remained limited since the studio's inception, but Houser has indicated that more concrete information will be released soon.
