Dan Jones commissioned to write new James Bond novella
Historian and bestselling author Dan Jones has been commissioned by Ian Fleming Publications to write a new James Bond novella titled ‘All In!’. The project is being released to celebrate the National Year of Reading.
Set in 1954 in Ceylon (modern-day Sri Lanka) during the period of British withdrawal, the story serves as a tribute to Ian Fleming’s 1956 novel ‘Diamonds Are Forever’. The plot follows 007 as he navigates a high-stakes game involving valuable gemstones, spanning from the Kandy mountains to the ocean floor.
The announcement was made on James Bond Day, marking the anniversary of the 1962 premiere of ‘Dr. No’. The novella is expected to be published in December 2026 as a special ebook edition via Ian Fleming online.
