The 38-year-old U Cluj midfielder surpassed the previous record held by Ionel Dănciulescu. Reflecting on his career, Nistor identified his 2013 transfer to Evian in France as a significant mistake, noting that he chose the move for financial reasons despite the physical demands of Ligue 1 not suiting his technical style.
