Dana Čahojová withdraws from Bratislava mayoral race

Dana Čahojová, the mayor of Karlova Ves, has announced her withdrawal from the mayoral race in Bratislava. In a social media announcement, the independent candidate stated that her decision was driven by a desire to prevent the splitting of votes among citizens seeking change in the capital.

Čahojová criticized the current administration led by Mayor Matúš Vallo, citing issues such as rising debt, unfinished projects, and specific environmental concerns regarding the Zimný prístav and Vlčie hrdlo. Despite her withdrawal, she urged voters not to ignore the upcoming October municipal elections and to choose candidates carefully, looking beyond marketing and expertise to find honest leadership.

Other candidates for the Bratislava mayoralty include incumbent Matúš Vallo, Jozef Ráž, Zuzana Šubová, Ľubomír Geci, and Miroslav Heredoš.
