Dana Marijuana sentenced to over five years in prison

The Constanța Tribunal has sentenced former singer Daniela Coteanu, known professionally as Dana Marijuana, to five years and four months in prison. The sentence follows convictions for high-risk drug trafficking and driving a vehicle under the influence of prohibited substances.

The court merged the two penalties, noting that time served during detention, preventive arrest, and house arrest since August 22, 2024, will be deducted from the total term. The incident occurred on DN 39 in the locality of 2 Mai, where police discovered various prohibited substances in the vehicle.

Two other individuals involved in the case, Cristi-Alin Neagu and Mugur-Valentin Nicula, also received prison sentences of six years and three months and six years and four months, respectively, for drug trafficking and possession. The court's decision is not final and can be appealed within ten days.
