Dana Vowinckel’s novel ‘Anton und Alma’ longlisted for German Book Prize

Author Dana Vowinckel has reached the longlist for the German Book Prize with her second novel, ‘Anton und Alma’. Published by Suhrkamp Verlag, the book is one of the most anticipated literary releases of the season.

The novel follows the evolving relationship between two protagonists, Anton and Alma, set against the backdrop of Berlin and New York. The narrative spans different eras, including the periods before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the period before and after October 7, 2023, which serves as a major turning point in the story.
