Dana White condemns Josh Hokit’s racist comment at UFC White House event

On June 14, the UFC held its Freedom 250 card on the White House lawn, marking the first combat‑sports event at the executive residence. After heavyweight Josh Hokit defeated Derrick Lewis, he used the post‑fight interview with commentator Joe Rogan to claim former First Lady Michelle Obama “is a man.”

UFC President Dana White described the remark as “nasty and false” and “f*cking gross,” saying it was “inappropriate” and detracted from an otherwise perfect event. White stressed that the comment does not reflect the UFC’s view and expressed frustration over the incident, noting that while fighters are free to speak, such statements will be met with a strong response. No formal discipline has been announced for Hokit, though future placement on cards could be affected.
