Dana White rules out future business with Francis Ngannou
UFC CEO Dana White has ruled out any future business with former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, stating he has no intention of working with him again. During an appearance on the Nightcap podcast, White labeled Ngannou a ‘bad guy’ and compared him to Oscar de la Hoya in terms of individuals he avoids doing business with.
The rift follows Ngannou’s departure from the UFC after the promotion and the former champion failed to reach an agreement on a new contract. Since leaving, Ngannou has competed in boxing and recently secured a victory in MMA at an MVP MMA event.
Despite White’s stance, Jon Jones has expressed interest in a fight against Ngannou. Jones noted that such a matchup would likely require him to exit his current UFC contract and could potentially take place under a different promotion, such as MVP, given White’s refusal to host the former champion.
