Danaher Lowers Revenue Outlook but Raises Full-Year Profit Forecast

Danaher raised its full‑year adjusted earnings forecast to $8.45‑$8.60 per share, while trimming the upper end of its core revenue growth target to 4% from 6%, keeping the lower end at 3%. The life‑sciences firm reported second‑quarter revenue of $6.27 billion, up 5.5% and beating analysts’ $6.10 billion estimate, with overall profit of $1.94 per share exceeding the $1.83 consensus.

Revenue from Danaher’s biotechnology unit grew 4% to $1.92 billion but fell short of the $1.97 billion estimate, reflecting weaker respiratory‑testing sales. The mixed outlook weighed on the market, with Danaher shares down about 12% in pre‑market trading and peers such as Agilent, Thermo Fisher, Revvity and Illumina also slipping.

Analysts noted that demand for bioprocessing equipment remains strong, but project timing issues are pressuring revenue. Danaher expects full‑year adjusted profit of $8.45‑$8.60 per share, up from its previous $8.35‑$8.55 range.
