Dance and Movement Festival features circus arts and acrobatics

The 27th Dance and Movement Festival is currently underway, featuring a variety of circus arts, acrobatics, and dance performances. Following an initial debut at the Centro Cultural da Vila, the event has moved to the Espaço Cultural Pés no Chão, where programming continues through October 3.

Scheduled performances include ‘AIAIAI… Ilha!’, a production by the Pés no Chão Dance and Aerial Group that explores the history and environment of Ilhabela through video projections and live music. Additionally, the solo show ‘Vidrado’ by Guilherme Torres features balancing techniques, including performances with glass bottles on unicycles and acrobatic bicycles.
