Dance community events announced in Norway

The Norwegian dance community is preparing for several upcoming professional gatherings. The Dansekonferansen 2027, titled ‘For alt det er verdt!’, is scheduled for January 21, 2027, at Sentralen in Oslo. The conference aims to explore the relevance and value of dance during times of change and serves as a meeting point for artists, educators, producers, and policymakers. The main event is accompanied by a broader program running from January 20 to 24.

Additionally, professional development seminars focusing on inclusive dance education will be held in December 2026. A specific seminar in Trondheim, organized by Trondheim Kulturskole in collaboration with PRODA, DANS Oslo Kulturskole, Norges Danseforbund, and DansiT Koreografisk Senter, will take place on December 14 and 15. These sessions aim to provide educators with tools to foster diversity and accessibility, ensuring children and youth with disabilities receive equitable dance instruction.
