Dance festivals in Italy provide training and scholarships for European talent

Recent dance events in Italy have highlighted opportunities for young talent through intensive training and international scholarships. In Polignano, the “In un Mare di Danza” event brought together over 200 dancers from Italy and various European countries, including France, Belgium, Romania, and Bulgaria. The event featured workshops led by industry professionals such as Alessandra Celentano and Rossella Abbrescia, and introduced the “In un Mare di Stelle” Gala, a competition focused on technical skill and artistic expression.

Additionally, Agata Palazzari, a young dancer from Gubbio, completed a prestigious week-long intensive program in Paris. This scholarship, awarded following her performance at the Gubbio Danz’week festival, allowed her to participate in high-level masterclasses covering classical, contemporary, and improvisational dance styles alongside international students and instructors.
