Dance initiatives announced in São Paulo state

The contemporary dance production ‘Corpo História’ by Companhia OBS is scheduled to perform in Presidente Prudente. The show explores the history of São Paulo’s territorial expansion, specifically addressing the impacts on indigenous peoples and quilombola communities, as well as the history of railways and related conflicts.

In São Paulo, the São Paulo Escola de Dança (SPED) has announced 70 free vacancies for cultural extension courses. These programs include a contemporary dance course requiring prior experience and a course focused on the cultural identity and choreography of the Parintins folklore festival. Applications for these courses are open until October 2.
