Dance productions announced in Argentina and Mexico
In Argentina, renowned dancer and choreographer Hernán Piquín will perform Entre dos mundos at the Teatro del Libertador San Martín alongside the Ballet Oficial de la Provincia. The production, scheduled for four performances from October 1 to October 4, blends the classical Paquita suite with the tango music of Astor Piazzolla, featuring live music from a tango quintet.
In Mexico, the Compañía Nacional de Danza is presenting a contemporary interpretation of Swan Lake at the Auditorio Nacional. Choreographed by Cuauhtémoc Nájera and inspired by the original works of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, this version aims to humanize the characters and explore the tragic elements of the story through a modern lens. The production will feature all four acts of the ballet.
