Dance workshops and ballet performances scheduled in Brazil

Teatro Vila Velha in Salvador is hosting a free dance workshop featuring Spanish choreographers Igor Bacovich and Iratxe Ansa on October 24 and 26. The workshop introduces the ‘Metamorphosis Method’, a technique developed by the founders of the Madrid-based Metamorphosis Dance company that focuses on breathing, body awareness, and improvisation. Held in partnership with the Instituto Cervantes, the event aims to foster artistic exchange between the Spanish duo and the local dance community.

In Porto Alegre, the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil will present a production of ‘Cinderella’ at Teatro FIERGS on October 28 and 29. The two-act ballet features music by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography by William Almeida, with approximately 50 dancers performing. The production includes costumes designed by Russian stylist Gala Orekova, blending romantic traditions with contemporary elements.
