Dancer hospitalized in ICU after collapsing at Almería Folklore Festival

A dancer from the Agrupación Folclórica Aduares de Breña Alta, representing La Palma, remains in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Hospital Universitario Torrecárdenas in Almería after collapsing on stage.

The incident occurred during the 41st Almería International Folklore Festival at the Plaza de la Constitución. The collapse happened midway through the group's performance, leading to the immediate suspension of the event.

Medical teams provided approximately 45 minutes of emergency care on-site to stabilize the dancer before transferring him via medicalized ambulance to the hospital. The Almería City Council expressed its support for the dancer's recovery and thanked the audience and participating international groups for their respectful behavior during the emergency.
