Dancing Angels to premiere at Cairo International Film Festival

Ferit Kılıç’s debut feature film, ‘Dancing Angels’ (Dans Eden Melekler), will make its world premiere at the 47th Cairo International Film Festival. The film has been selected for the prestigious Critics Week competition section, which runs from November 11 to 20.

A Turkey-Croatia co-production by Karma Films, the movie explores the roots of violence and the theme of institutional indifference. The project previously received recognition at the Transilvania Pitch Stop and the 2026 Istanbul International Film Festival’s Köprüde Buluşmalar WIP section.

The cast includes Taha Sönmezışık, Saadet Işıl Aksoy, Defne Kayalar, Ushan Çakır, Umut Kaya, Öyküsu Özyürek, and Ceyda Düvenci. Kılıç, one of Turkey’s youngest directors, wrote and directed the film.
