Dang Thai Mai Street infrastructure project nears completion in Hanoi
Infrastructure development is underway on Dang Thai Mai Street in Hanoi's Tay Ho District, a project with a total investment exceeding 1,195 billion VND. The project aims to connect the West Lake area with the Pearl Opera House space.
Phase 1, spanning 1,260 meters from the West Lake guest house area to Xuan Dieu Street, is currently in its final stages of completion. This phase involves an investment of approximately 552.7 billion VND and includes synchronized upgrades to transportation systems, technical infrastructure, and landscaping. Recent site observations show asphalt paving, sidewalk stone laying, and the installation of lighting and technical trenches.
Phase 2 is scheduled to commence in March 2026, extending the route to Au Co Street. Despite being only about 100 meters long, this phase requires an investment of 642.4 billion VND, primarily due to land clearance costs involving 26 households. The completed road will feature a cross-section width of 93.6 meters, including lanes of 7 and 9 meters, 5-meter sidewalks, and pedestrian underpasses.
