Coach Melly Lee missed the Dangdut Academy 8 Top 37 round after the death of her father, Bapak Ade, on 6 August 2026. Her two trainees, Azzio and Rama, performed the song “Dahsyat” on 7 August 2026, supported by senior contestants Tasya Allesia and Zahra Sima.
The duet earned three “SO” votes from judges Wika Salim, Lesti and Soimah, who praised Rama’s flexibility and Azzio’s concentration. Their scores secured a place in the competition’s Top 31.
The advancement was announced ahead of the next stage of Dangdut Academy 8, with the schedule to be released soon.
