Dangdut Academy 8 Final Audition Advances Four Contestants

On 8 July 2026 the live broadcast of Group 6 in the final audition of Dangdut Academy 8 aired on Indosiar. Judges Wika Salim, Dewi Perssik and Soimah evaluated the performances and announced that four singers secured places in the next stage: Kadhafy from Bangkalan, Sakhi from Binjai, Rama from Cirebon and Idoy from Medan.

Idoy, a 20‑year‑old from Medan, recalled his earlier failure at the Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) audition in 2020, saying he missed a song lyric. He said the setback motivated him to increase his song memorisation and practice, and he expressed gratitude for reaching the Dangdut Academy stage.

Rama’s energetic rendition of “Setajam Karang” earned praise for expression and tempo, while Kadhafy received comments on his improvisation and Sakhi was noted for vocal strength but advised to improve breath control. All four were confirmed to move on to the competition’s subsequent round.
